Meet the INSTructor:


         Connie Ratti is a CTRS, Certified Therapeutic Recreational Specialist and ACC, Activity Consultant Certified.  She is a Member of NCTRC, the National Council for Therapeutic Recreational Certification and the NCAAP, National Certification Association of Activity Professionals and NAAP, the National Association of Activity Professionals, CADDCT, Certified Alzheimer's Disease Dementia Care Trainer and CDP, Certified Dementia Practitioner  She has been working in the field for 22 years.  Class are taught in local facilities, at Portland Community College, and various locations. Class are offered in small group sessions and some classes are offered on-line, while all sessions are assured of having personal contact and attention from the instructor. Student's needs are accommodated to reach maximin success for career growth and course completion.  Every effort is made to provide students with the tools, methods and knowledge they need for successful careers as Activity and  Dementia Care. 

OAP/ODP provides a wide selection of courses and seminars.

  • We will offer the Oregon State Certification Class for Activity Directors. This 36 hour class meets the mandated regulations of Activity Directors wishing to work in Long Term and Skilled Facilities.
  • We will offer the National Certification Classes /MEPAP1 and 2 as required by the National Certification Council of Activity Professionals (NCCAP). They are taught on-line via Portland Community College, with private and personal instruction by an approved NCCAP instructor.

    ACTIVITY DIRECTOR STATE CERTIFICATION CLASS on November 1,2,and 3, from 9:00 to 5:00 each day at The Pearl at Kruse Way, Lake Oswego, Oregon, registration and application for class: cratti@outlook.com or cratti@oap-odp.com or call 503-740-9706. - Cost of class 230.00, late registration will be charged additional 30.00 after October 29th..  Class included 146-page text, work sheets. In class lecture, videos and demonstrations; students must past test by 70% or better and complete assignments in class for Oregon State Certification.

    ALZHEIMER’S DISEASE / DEMENTIA CARE TRAINING on November 7th from 8:00 to 5:00 PM at Portland Community College- Health Professional Insitute /CLIMB/ Portland, Oregon. This seminar is a path to certification as a Certified Dementia Practitioner through the National Council of Certified Dementia Practitioner. This is a required seminar for those pursuing CDP certifications and who qualify through NCCDP.   Successful attendees who meet requirements of NCCDP  will be able to apply to the NCCDP for their National Certification if they qualify.  If you have question(s) please contact at 503-740-9706. Many facilities in LTC are asking Activity Professionals to also have Dementia Care Training.  Class covers 10 essential areas of dementia knowledge and skill sets to meet this standard.
